W18.3. Access the Web site of a genetic algorithm lab (try http://ga14.ge.uiuc.edu or http://www.aic.nrl.mil:80/gallst/). Find current research and relationships to neural computing.
W18.4. Access PC AI magazine's Web site (http://www.pcai.com/pcai/). Search for fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, neural networks, and hybrid intelligent systems used in business. Example definitions and vendors. What is new in these areas?
W18.5. Examine the fuzzy logic FAQs at the Carnegie Mellon University AI Repository (http://www.cs.cmu.edu/Groups/AI/html/faqs/ai/fuzzy/part1/faq-doc-1.html, where faq-doc-1 can be 0, 1, 2.....). Look through the latest listings of commercial and free fuzzy logic software systems. Identify some free or demo ones that run on a PC (unless you have access to a Unix workstation) and try them. Describe the processes that the fuzzy systems used.

to create custom newspapers or receive broadcasts to identify news items
